Buddha Buddha

A few friends and I went to a Buddhist Monestary out in Escondido last weekend. They had a Zen Master from Vietnam come speak to them and the public was invited, so we went. I didn't know much about Buddhism, and it proved to be a very enlightening experience. It was in Vietnamese, so we had to wear headphones with a translator speaking in order to understand. They talked a lot about love and what we need to do to cultivate it in our lives. It was a very good message about the effort we need to put into our relationships. The Zen Master also spoke about paying appropriate attention to the good things and energies in our lives and not spending so much time focusing and the things that are negative. Buddhism focuses on inner peace, and I really did feel very peaceful when I left. Such a rad experience.
