My celebrity Crush

Is it normal to have a celebrity crush? Everyone I talk to seems to have one, and I have never really bought into the idea. In my mind, it's pointless to have a crush on someone you know you will never have a chance with. Doesn't the fun of having a crush lie in the possibility of some sort of romantic encounter? With celebritiy crushes, ANY encounter is unlikely, especially not one of a romantic nature. I guess I've just never seen the point. That being said, I have a huge crush on David Boreanaz. He's Booth in Bones. He runs in his suit in the show's introduction. He's incrediby attractive, very brave, and has a gun. I know it's totally irrational, but I just can't help it.
