School and Heart

I started school again. I’ve been talking about doing it for a while, but classes actually started last week. I go every Tuesday for six hours. It’s a little grueling, but I’m enjoying it. I just started enjoying it tonight, actually. Last week’s class wasn’t interesting, and I was kind of regretting signing up. After tonight’s class, I’m actually considering going back full time to get an RN or surgical tech certificate. It just seems like it would be something I would enjoy doing. My classes now are medical terminology and anatomy and physiology. The best part is that I’m taking these classes at the local junior college so I can still work and make money, and I feel so incredibly intelligent. My intelligence is average, but I feel like a freaking genius in there with all the druggies and straight-out-of-high school kids. Anyway, I’m taking an online Photoshop class, too, which is AWESOME! Believe it or not, I missed school. It feels right to be walking around with a backpack on again!

I get a heart monitor on Thursday. It’s taken my insurance two weeks to authorize it. Annoyance. Luckily I’m not really dying of heart problems, otherwise this might be an issue. I have to wear it for two weeks, and I’m not excited. There are four electrodes that attach to various spots on my chest, and then those electrodes are hooked up to a little machine I have to wear on my belt. On a scale of one to nerdy, this is totally off the chart.

Wow! a heart monitor? What do you have to wear that for? Are you ok?

Also, I can just imagine you sitting there in your junior college classes, air of superiority and all. ;)

Kudos on the Photoshop fun. I might actually get to use some of that at work now. Woo hoo!
